Darshan
In Hinduism, “darshan” (दर्शन) refers to the act of seeing or experiencing the divine, often in the form of a deity or a sacred object. It’s a reciprocal exchange between the devotee and the divine, where both are seen and experienced. Darshan is considered a powerful form of worship and a path to spiritual fulfillment.
Pooja
Pooja is a Hindu ritual of worship and veneration of deities, often involving prayers, offerings, and rituals. It is a way to connect with the divine and seek blessings. Pooja can be performed at temples, in homes, or during festivals.
Anusthan
In Hinduism, “Anusthan” refers to a specific ritual or devotional practice aimed at seeking blessings from deities or achieving spiritual goals. It’s a form of worship that involves specific mantras, prayers, and offerings, often performed for a set period of time, such as 11 days. Anusthan can be performed for various reasons, including fulfilling a specific desire, seeking protection, or attaining spiritual progress.
Bhandara
In Hindu tradition, Bhog refers to offerings of food made to deities. Bhandara is a free, community-based meal service, often associated with temples or religious events, where food is prepared and offered to devotees and the needy. These events are a way to share the blessings of the deity and promote unity.
